Privacy Policy

The short version

Gametopus does not ask you to register, and we do not build user profiles. Your game progress lives in your own browser, not on our servers.

What is stored on your device

Our games use localStorage — a small storage area inside your browser — to remember things like high scores, saved farms, unlocked upgrades, your favourite games and your most recently played titles. This data never leaves your device, we cannot read it, and you can delete it at any time by clearing site data for gametopus.com.

Analytics

We may use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics to understand which games people enjoy and how the site performs. Where analytics are enabled, they are configured to avoid cross-site tracking and to store no personally identifying information.

Advertising

The site is built so that advertising can be introduced later. At the time of writing, no advertising network is active and no ad requests are made. If and when ads are switched on:

• Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent before any advertising or measurement cookies are set.
• Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads and measure their performance. Their own privacy policies apply to that processing.
• You will be able to change or withdraw your consent at any time from the site footer.

Third-party content

One game loads the open-source 3D library three.js from a public CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com). That request necessarily exposes your IP address to the CDN, as with any web resource.

Children

Gametopus is a general-audience site. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. Where advertising is enabled, ad requests will be marked as non-personalised for traffic that must be treated as directed to children.

Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data on our servers, there is normally nothing for us to export or erase. If you believe we hold data about you, or you have any question about this policy, contact us at privacy@gametopus.com.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — for example when advertising goes live — the date at the top of this page will be updated.
